Milky Way, California

A 200+ degree panorama of the Milky Way over the southern Sierra Nevada, from north at left to south on the right. The center span of the Milky Way was almost directly overhead.

Five untracked images from a 14mm lens were merged and the horizon was flattened, stretching the stars at the top of the image. The distant Andromeda Galaxy is visible to the upper right of our galaxy.
