The buff wing patches of this male Buff-winged Starfrontlet are clearly seen here, along with the characteristic long straight bill. This high-altitude hummer also has a distinctive squeak call to announce its arrival.
This bird was perched at 11,000 feet in soft natural light, and highlighted with fill flash.
