The summer Milky Way and bright center of our galaxy rise over a remote Joshua Tree "forest" in the northern Mojave Desert.
The view extends over more than 200°, with light domes from distant Las Vegas in the center, to the east, and Los Angeles at right, to the south. A lone photographer is visible.
Fourteen heavily overlapping images were merged as a cylindrical panorama in Adobe Lightroom Classic. This was edited in Photoshop, where a mask was created to adjust foreground and sky separately. Final adjustments were made in Lightroom.
