Long-tailed Sylph, Ecuador

The male Long-tailed Sylph is a stunning hummingbird with its long, elegant iridescent tail. Unlike most hummingbirds, sylphs look better from the back or above, where their deeply iridescent violet-blue tails are highlighted. So I positioned the camera and lights a bit high, and shot down.
