The majestic Andean Condor is one of the world's largest flying birds, with a wingspan approaching 11 feet.
We ventured to 13,500 feet in the treeless páramo tundra surrounding ice-covered Antisana Volcano, and spotted this huge vulture scouring the landscape for carrion. They breed in the area in small and decreasing numbers.
