The Giant Hummingbird is fairly plain by hummingbird standards, but is the largest hummingbird in the world. It favors high elevations where it is common in people's gardens.
It is comparable in size to a European Starling. It's wing beats are much slower than the "humming" of smaller hummingbirds, but it still easily hovers in place and is attracted to sugar water feeders.
