Join us in Ecuador for an amazing hummingbird and nature experience. We will stay at lodges on both the east and west sides of the Andes for maximum hummingbird diversity.

In addition to Tandayapa and Guango Lodges, we have now added two nights at
Mindo Loma Lodge to our itinerary, by popular demand. This has been a favorite stop of participants on our day trips, and now we'll have time for multi-flash setups for Mindo Loma specialties such as
Violet-tailed Sylph and
Velvet-purple Coronet.
We'll photograph a wide array of hummingbirds while staying in elegant and comfortable accommodations with all meals provided. We'll also visit several other bird photo hotspots on day trips.

Multiple Flash Equipment Provided
We supply all the flash equipment for our hummingbird workshops. You simply need to bring your camera, lens, and tripod.

- Sept 2, 2020: Arrive Quito airport (UIO) and we take you to our nearby garden hotel (1 Night).
- Day trip to the Equator.
- Tandayapa Bird Lodge (4N).
- Day trip to favorite hummingbird hotspots.
- Mindo Loma Lodge (2N).
- Day trip to Yanacocha Reserve. Cross the Andes via Papallacta Pass.
- Guango Lodge (4N).
- Last night at airport hotel (1N).
- Sept 15, 2020: We take you to the airport for flights home. Or continue to our Antisana add-on.
Workshop Add-on for Antisana and High-altitude Birds
Extend your trip for 3 nights to photograph the high altitude Antisana Reserve and its unique birds. We'll seek out special hummingbirds such as Ecuadorian Hillstar, Shining Sunbeam, and Giant Hummingbird; plus Andean Condor, Carunculated Caracara, Andean Lapwing, and more birds of the high paramo.
