Penguins are always nervous when the come back to shore; hungry sea lions or seals might be waiting for them. So they don't waste any time coming into shore and running up from the waterline.
These Gentoo Penguins are coming back to their nesting colony on Sea Lion Island with food for the chicks.
Shot handheld with the mirrorless Canon EOS R5 and RF 100-500mm L lens, a very nice combination for capturing fast action.
