The Cocoon Nebula is a cloud of glowing interstellar dust and gas in the Milky Way constellation Cygnus, an area dense with stars.

To the right are so-called dark nebulas, which are clouds of dust the obscure the stars behind them.

The faint blue light around the nebula is the reflection of hot blue stars on dust clouds. It is barely visible in this 7 hour exposure, but may be easier to see if I can record several more hours of color data.
